About the Series "First There Was Magic"
I've been thinking and working on the themes and concepts of my Series "First There Was Magic" for years now.
Women's place in the world, their representation through history, mythologies, psychology, the ideas of the antihero, the voice within, the sacred, intuition, playfulness, "girliness" or girl culture.
I think what interests me is the raw freedom and desires inside all women and how tamed we've learned to become. It's what I look for in myself, my friends, my sisters, my mothers.
My first paintings of "First There Was Magic" are a fantasy.
A flawed world has just ended; That apocalypse became an inevitable subject with the current situation of the world. I imagine the beginning of a new world where only girl gangs and mystical creatures have survived. This "dream" is like creating a mythology, a collection of visual stories that hopefully resonate with women's emotions, life stages, inner conflicts. It's an ode to sisterhood, the search for freedom, strength, playfulness, and being your true self.
The animals are the companions, they help, they show the way, they are also a representation of a wild magic inside of those women.
There are no children, no men, the women do not appear in a filiation to anything, they do not have an age, they are shown as an eternal entity.

About the Series "The Bohemian Palace"
In this series, I am trying to convey the feeling of the South of France. My bohemian palace is a stone house where textures are old and the interiors and outdoors are blurred. The light and colors are vivid, it could be the golden hour slipping through an opened door. I call it the palace as it seems to be the utmost luxurious life in my opinion. There is nothing new in this palace, the patterns are traditional and a mix from everywhere.
It was discovering Pierre Lesieur that inspired me to paint this series, his way of painting textures, the mood of his paintings immediately made me think of Matisse, Bonnard and even some frescoes from the Middle Age with his treatment of perspective.

About Self-Pity Party
This series is inspired by the lasting feeling of loneliness while in love. I’m exploring a pattern composed of five stages I go through in order to fall in love yet still feel lonely in those scenarios.
These stages tell a part of the story and this narration is explored further in five songs I made for each stage/ painting. To celebrate the indulgence in self-pity I called the Project «Self-Pity Party».
The different stages are as follows: It starts with «The Idea Of Love», the imaginary creation of a personality and the idealization of a love interest, soon followed by «Desire». Then comes the idea of a «Savior», the idea that half of ourselves is incomplete unless we find a person made for us.
With the realities of being in a couple comes «Bored with love» and finally, the inevitable ending with the song and painting «Cry Baby».

About The Lyrics Sheets Series
This series is inspired by CY Twombly. I treated the canvases as paper on which I would write lyrics for songs and covered them with abstract flowers, movements, textures which were all part of my research for creating a mood and emotion for the making of songs. I exclusively painted with my fingers, no brushes as I wanted a spontaneous organic movement and feel.

About Abstract in the Snow
This series is inspired by the impressionists, Pierre Bonnard and Monnet.
I imagine soft fantasy landscapes covered in the snow. The simple subject gives me room to experiment a lot with texture and softer colors. Like in the Series "Therapy is a Bitch" I use the colour white to shape and direct the eye, here I work with it in different layers and it is the main subject of the series, the snow.

About Therapy is a bitch
This series is primarily inspired by the "Art Brut" movement and Danish painters such as Asger Jorn. These new paintings mark a new direction in my artistic exploration, my first decision being to reuse black which I had replaced with blues and greens for years. In this series, I use black to contour and create the shapes and movements of tensed bodies. The Series revolves around key autobiographical moments, I let the memories show up spontaneously on the canvas. It is also the first time that I try and capture something Scandinavian in my aesthetic which, being a Danish-born but raised in France, often comes and goes like a hidden unexplored part of me that is yet to discover.

About The Opium Dream
This Series reveals a need for illusion, importance and poetry in a reality that is often suffocating, and dull.
I paint bohemians of different time periods like Baudelaire, the beat generation or the hippies of the 60s as if they were friendly faces that I could turn to when in need of escaping reality.
This series is primarily inspired by Baudelaire, Chagall, Odilon Redon and is constructed as a dream or a trip where the characters are faced with a fantasy landscape that represents their subconscious.
Themes explored are the loneliness of the artist, the artistic illusion that was often sought after by Baudelaire, Flaubert and others with the use of Opium.
